How to See Who Viewed Your Instagram Story After 24 Hours (2024)

In this article, I’m gonna share how to see who viewed your Instagram story after 24 or 48 hours.

Instagram Story is a feature that lets users post photos and videos that vanish after 24 hours. It’s denoted by a colored ring around your profile picture (you can choose the color). Users can add to their story at any time, and they’ll appear as circular icons on the top of the app when there are new ones to see.

The primary difference between Instagram Story and other forms of Stories is its ephemeral nature; once 24 hours have elapsed, a Story will disappear forever, with no option to save it for later.

You can add text, doodles, and emojis to your Story. You can also start live videos (which last for only 24 hours) from your Story.

Instagram Story also lets you reply to individual stories with Direct Messages. This is the only way you can share content from a story outside of Instagram itself.

Now, let me come to the main point of the article – how to see who viewed your Instagram Story.

If you want to see who views your Instagram stories, you can find out by tapping on the story itself. A list of people will appear in the order that they watched it.

It’s worth noting that anyone who watches your story via a link or screenshot will not appear in this list (more on that later).

Instagram Stories are Instagram posts that disappear after 24 hours.

How to Find Who Watched Your Instagram Story:

To see who viewed your Instagram story:

1. Open Instagram and go to your profile. You can do this by tapping the house icon at the bottom of your screen.

2. Tap the circular icon at the top of your screen (or to the left of your profile photo). This is your story feed, which shows all of your recent stories.

3. Tap on one of your stories. It will open in full-screen mode and begin playing automatically. If you don’t have any new stories, you won’t be able to see who viewed them.

4. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen while watching your story. This will display a list of everyone who watched it, along with how long they watched and what their username is. The list will be sorted by who watched it first, with the most recent watchers appearing last on the list.

How to See Who Viewed Your Instagram Story After 24 Hours (or 48 Hours)

You can see a list of people who viewed your story by swiping up on the screen when you’re viewing your own story. You can only see who viewed your story within the first 24 hours after it’s posted, though.

In other words, if you post an Instagram Story and want to know who has viewed it, you can do so by swiping up on the screen when viewing your own Story. The list of Story viewers isn’t in chronological order, though.

If you want to know who viewed your Instagram Story after 48 hours, you’re out of luck.

Some might say the beauty of Instagram Stories is that they don’t last forever, but if you have a public account, there’s nothing stopping anyone from taking screenshots or recording your Stories with another device. However, if you have a private account and your followers take screenshots of your Instagram Stories or live videos, you won’t be alerted.

Can you see who views your instagram story they are not your friends?

You can see who’s viewed your Instagram story by going to your inbox and tapping on the eyeball icon next to the person’s name.

If you’ve added them as a close friend and they’re also following you, there will be an emoji reaction that appears below their name in your inbox. If there isn’t one, it means they did not add you as a close friend.

You can see how many people viewed your Instagram story from the Direct Inbox by tapping on the eyeball icon at the bottom of the Direct Inbox. You’ll be able to see a list of everyone who viewed it, but if you don’t have close friends added then it won’t show any names or emojis next to them unless they commented on your story.

How to see who viewed your Instagram story after it expires

Instagram Stories are a great way to share moments from your daily life, showcase your brand personality and engage with your followers in a fun, authentic way.

In addition to letting you know when someone views or likes your story, Instagram can also show you exactly who has viewed each individual photo and video in your story — but it doesn’t notify you when someone takes a screenshot of your story.

At the end of the day, Instagram will automatically archive all of your stories in case you want to revisit them at any point. This also means that you can access the list of viewers for each story after it expires (after 24 hours) and see who viewed it, as well as how many times someone watched it and where they’re located.

To view the list of people who viewed your story after it has expired:

1. Tap on “Archive” in the top-right corner of your screen (it looks like a small clock).

2. Navigate to the story you want to review, then tap on “View Insights” at the bottom of the screen.

3. You’ll then be able to see the total number of people who have viewed this particular story (tap on this number to see the exact list).

Conclusion: So, these are the tips to know who viewed your Instagram story after 24 or 48 hours. There are many reasons why you might want to see who viewed your story. Maybe you plan on sending a direct message to someone who viewed your story but didn’t comment, or maybe you want to access an old post that you know was viewed by a specific user. No matter what the reason, it’s possible, and this article has shown you how.
